Lone Star Beer

The self-proclaimed “National Beer of Texas” may have changed hands many times since its inception in 1874, but its identity as a true Texas beverage has remained constant. Its original home was in San Marcos, it later moved to San Antonio and became the first large-scale mechanized brewery in Texas, and is now owned by Pabst Brewing Company with a production facility in Fort Worth. Lone Star has been refreshing thirsty Texans for nearly 150 years, reaching its popularity peak in the 1970s when it was adopted by Willie Nelson’s crew at the Armadillo World
